Francisca Trindade, a Fashion Designer from Manteigas, Serra de Estrela. I graduated from Fashion Design at the University of Beira Interior and currently attending a Master’s in Fashion Design, also at the University of Beira Interior.
Throughout my journey in fashion, I always aim to create sustainable, functional pieces with local or previously loved materials. Sustainability, tradition and innovation are three words I could use to describe my work. I always try to revolutionise sustainability in the fashion industry by using techniques that are different from the normal ones, such as making reversible pieces, and functional pieces that have more than one use. My greatest inspiration is my great-grandmother, everything I do is always dedicated to all strong, daring and independent women.
